Tom Morris

Tom is a trial lawyer who starts every case with the expectation it will go to trial. As a founding partner of Morris & Fox, Attorneys at Law, he represents clients across Statesville, Iredell County, and Mecklenburg County facing charges that can have lasting consequences.

Tom handles a wide range of criminal matters, including serious felony charges such as murder and sex offenses, as well as misdemeanors and DWI cases throughout North Carolina. His approach is proactive and strategic. He builds the defense early, carefully analyzes the evidence, and positions each case for the strongest possible outcome, whether that happens in negotiations or in the courtroom.

Tom earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Liberty University School of Law, where he served on Law Review and competed nationally in moot court. He won multiple national championships and received top honors for both written briefs and oral advocacy. During law school, he also interned with the United States Attorney’s Office, gaining valuable insight into how criminal cases are developed and prosecuted.

He is recognized as a trusted criminal defense lawyer in Statesville and throughout Iredell and Mecklenburg counties. Clients searching for a felony lawyer, DWI lawyer, or criminal defense attorney want someone who will take their case seriously and advocate for them at every stage. That is the standard Tom brings to his practice.

Originally from New York, Tom lives in North Carolina with his wife, Susie, and their four children. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time at his kids’ soccer games, playing guitar, and working on small-batch creations at his home brewery, Barrister’s Brewworks.
