Morris & Fox, Attorneys at Law

Morris & Fox, Attorneys at Law was founded by partners Tom Morris and Heather Fox. After practicing together for several years, they realized they shared a passion for providing excellent representation to clients dealing with family and criminal law matters, with fair and transparent billing practices. Out of that shared desire for excellence came Morris & Fox, Attorneys at Law, a law firm dedicated to guiding families through all life’s troubles in the greater Charlotte and Statesville areas.

Tom Morris

Tom Morris is a founding partner of Morris & Fox, Attorneys at Law. Tom focuses his practice on criminal and family law, and has experience in both federal and state courts.  While always willing to attempt a settlement for his clients, Tom is ready to vigorously defend his client’s rights in the courtroom and fight for the outcome they deserve. He is admitted to practice in North Carolina and the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.

Originally from New York, Tom and his family have found their home in Charlotte. Tom has been married to his wife Susie since 2011, and they have four children together. When not working, Tom and his family love exploring the Queen City and visiting the great breweries the city has to offer. He can also be found brewing the next batch of beer for his home brewery, Barrister’s BrewWorks.

Heather Fox

Heather Fox is a Founding Partner at Morris & Fox, who largely focuses her practice on family law and criminal matters. When someone hires Heather to represent them, they are hiring a fighter who will fight for their freedom and their rights, whether that’s through a settlement or a trial.

Heather is a native of Statesville, North Carolina, and a graduate of North Iredell High School. She is also a double graduate from Liberty University, having completed her Bachelor’s degree in English in 2016 and her Juris Doctor in 2020. She often tells people that she decided to go to law school because someone said it was just “a bunch of reading, writing, and research,” and she figured that would be a breeze with an English degree in her back pocket. She was very, very wrong! But, despite the difficulties of law school, she found her passion in helping people. Heather’s favorite thing about her job is that she has the unique opportunity to guide people through some of the most difficult circumstances they will ever face, and she can get them to a point where life is good again.

Outside the courtroom, Heather enjoys spending time with family and friends, and her boxer, Mila. The people who know Heather best admire her determination, honesty, and witty sense of humor.
